A Day at the Park

On Saturday June 1st I bicycled over to Howard Park to participate in a tree planting event, which was sponsored by the City formerly known as Lake Worth.  The City paid a Delray Beach, Florida organization called Community Greening an undisclosed sum to organize this event to plant 100 trees and provide maintenance on the trees for a period of time.

The City Tree Board was not invited to oversee, sponsor, or plan this event, though members of the Board were invited by David McGrew, the staff advisor to the Board.
